Why the Change?
Before our new name, we were known as Dawang Casting or Dandong Dawang Steel Castings. The previous name reflected our origin as a steel casting foundry established in 1998. However, as our business grew and developed to better serve our customers globally, this single-process name could no longer fully represent our business.
The new brand represents our devotion to providing comprehensive metal fabrication solutions that span from casting, machining, welding, and other metal processing methods. Rather than just a factory, what makes us stand out is our capability to support product engineering, production, and supply chain management.

What Changes and What Remains the Same
With the rebranding, we still maintain the utmost expertise in metal casting technology and production. As a board member of the China Foundry Association (CFA), we continued to facilitate the development of the casting industry in China. Over the past years, all our workshops and equipment have been updated to utilize the latest technology that significantly improved quality and speed.
Meanwhile, in the past decade, Dawang Metals has expanded into the lateral spaces of welding and forging. With metalwork facilities near Dalian port, we have supported numerous leading companies in Europe, North America, and Asia with one-stop procurement for their diverse project needs.
What’s changing: Our corporate brand is transitioning from Dawang Casting to Dawang Metals. We hope the new name will help customers better understand our specialties beyond a single term, casting.
The old name of Dandong Dawang Steel Castings will be mainly for domestic use to our Chinese clients and for production. Dawang Metals is our international brand for global clients and supplier network. Under the umbrella of Dawang Metals, we have a dedicated supply chain management team and client managers to better serve our business partners.
What’s not changing: In fact, our actual business scope has already successfully made the shift in past years, and the name change was a slight delay. We will also continue to update our websites and social media to reflect our full capabilities.
